Travelling over Easter
Your branch library can assist by helping to make your journey more relaxed with great stories from a number of new audio books on our shelves today. A Desert God by Wilbur Smith and read by Mike Grady will give you many hours of listening with a story of magic, mystery and intrigue. For your junior passengers Andy Griffiths' Pencil of Doom will provide two hours of exciting in-car humour and Toad Surprise written and read by Morris Gleitzman is a hilarious story of toads and humans hoping to live happily together. Many more to choose from across all collections.
Holidaying at home
Remember to call in early to your local branch to choose and borrow from lots of new books and DVDs. New books include 15 Minute Yoga: Health, Well Being and Happiness by Ulrica Norberg and for the family the new Guinness World Records 2015-Games Edition offers a countdown of the top 50 video games of all times with information on all these and the opportunity to meet gamers from all over the world. Not forgetting the wonderful collection of large print which includes factual books and biographies as well as very popular novels. Large numbers of new children's book have arrived on the shelves recently.
Library staff will be more than happy to show you around, point out what's available and help you discover more with an introduction to the catalogue or online resources using the public computers.
School Holiday Activities will be held with two afternoon events at both Narromine and Trangie Branches. The challenges will be the 'Battle of the Bookcovers' on Wednesday April 8. The following week 'Battle Warriors' will be held on Wednesday April 15. Book in early for a 2.30pm to 4pm challenge to become the ultimate Battle Warrior. Recommended for ages 5-12. Cost $2 .

Youth Week April 10-14
Young people aged 13+ are invited to join a new afternoon of fun with 'Cartoon Detours' a cartooning workshop to be presented by Sacha Whitehead. Learn basic cartoon skills using everyday ideas with an introduction to perspective, humour, action and setting. An entertaining afternoon with a wonderful presenter. Not to be missed.

Early reminder to visit your branch library April 20-24 to see collections of World War I memorabilia including photos of servicemen and records of these men and women.
