Break Thru People Solutions offers person-centered programs enabling people to address mental health, employment, disability and training needs.
Break Thru Dubbo already works with clients with disabilities in Narromine at the CWA Hall, and is keen to engage with more local people wanting support.
Namoi Barling and Lauren Masonwells both attend Break Thru and greatly enjoy the activities and events they attend.
"It's fun," Ms Barling said.
"We go on outings to the movies and shopping in Dubbo and picnics at the zoo."
Ms Barling and Ms Masonwells attend the local Women's Shed every week and participate in yoga.
Break Thru Transition and Support Consultant David Powe advises young people with a disability are both encouraged and supported to participate in the programs offered which can include community integration, education and literacy/numeracy, work preparation, computer skills, independent living skills, money skills and shopping, as well as social and recreational activities.
"The goal for the people we work with is to increase their independence and help them participate as valued and active members in the community" Mr Powe said. To let people know more about the services they offer, Break Thru is holding an information evening and supper on Monday, April 27, running from 6.30pm-8pm. The event will be held at The Narromine United Services Club, and if you are interested in attending, please contact Break Thru People Solutions Dubbo on 6884 5151 or 0423 296 407 by close of business today.
