Despite the weather the scores were good as the course is in excellent condition.
Winner on the day was Bob Culhane with 28 points.
He is relishing the new handicap conditions however it was a great round.
Second place went to the consistent Bryce Crawford with 25 points.
There was no winner for the nearest the pin which will now jackpot to next week.
Trouble in the pool competition - a late start application for forfeit was disallowed.
However Bryce Crawford and Chris Harding went on to win a hard-fought match.
They defeated Bill Burke and Terry Willis in three games.
This afternoon the gerries will play their competition on the back nine and it is hoped the weather will hold and all will enjoy a pleasant afternoon of golf.
See you all on the tee.
