Dawn got away to an early lead when halfway through Janet worked out the green and the wind and gradually caught up end by end.
On the 30th end it was all level and the deciding end a real thriller when Janet got the all-important shot.
Hearty congratulations to Janet and commiserations to Dawn.
It truly was a nail-biter and gave the audience quite a thrill.
This week we have four birthdays - Betty Purvis and Helen Woolfe on Monday, Maureen Bootle on Tuesday and Kerrie Woods yesterday.
Birthday wishes to all four.
Next week we have the semi-finals of the A Grade when Rosalie Woods will play Jan Buswell and Janet Coote will play Barbara Lincoln.
Felicity Powell and Pam Roberts on the lunch roster.
Trust the weather will be a little kinder next week even though Tuesday's rain was more than welcome particularly for the farmers.
