A 61 year old man has been arrested by strike force detectives in relation to the deaths of three people at a rural property at Hermidale, 70 kilometres from Nyngan, on Sunday afternoon.

Two of the deceased have been identified as Stephen Cumberland, 59, and his son Jacob, 28, while a 36 year old woman has not had her name released.
The bodies were found on Friday morning, sending the small community of Hermidale into a state of shock as police converged on the property to begin their investigation.
Police confirmed Jacob Cumberland sustained a gunshot wound, as did the yet to be identified woman.
The body of Stephen Cumberland was found in a burnt out caravan, and a post mortem examination in coming days will determine his cause of death.
While the man continues to assit with inquiries, a search warrant will be executed at a Hermidale property on Sunday afternoon.
