It was an entertaining game of footy on the weekend between the Trangie Magpies and Coolah Kangaroos.
The boys played an impressive game at home in front of a sizeable home crowd.
The two teams battled it out trading tries in the first half, before the Maggies went to the break with an 18-12 lead, but with the 'Roos scoring first in the second stanza it was game on. After an entertaining encounter, it was the wonderful home team who emerged as the 36-28 victors.
There were tight games all round in the 10th round of the Bendigo Bank Castlereagh League competition, with the Magpies defeat of the 'Roos being the biggest winning margin in the rugby league games. It's not all over though, the teams will be rematching in Coolah this weekend and it seems the 'Roos will be up for some immediate revenge.
Magpies 36 (Jarrad Toole, Eric Priddis, Mark Patterson, Scott Beshman, Carl Moss, Jackson Baker tries, Hayden Ellis 6 goals) defeated Coolah 28 (Bradley Sheridan 2, Sam Dunn 2, Dave Doolan tries, Sheridan 4 goals)
