The Narromine High School student was presented with her award by member for Dubbo and deputy premier Troy Grant for her participation in the Australian Indigenous Schoolgirls Netball.
He said it was an honour to present this award and he was extraordinarily proud of Caitlin.
"There are few greater honours than to represent your community and state in sport. On behalf of the Premier, Mike Baird and the NSW Government I congratulate each of the recipients," Mr Grant said.

- Member for Dubbo and deputy premier, Troy Grant
Caitlin was one of a group of athletes who have proudly represented their state including Tanika Kennedy also for Australian Indigenous Schoolgirls Netball (Dubbo), Thomas Graham, Thomas Coady, Thomas and Patrick Nelson all of Dubbo for indoor cricket and Dubbo's Lachlan Jones for golf.
"This award is presented to people who represent NSW either nationally or internationally, whether individually or as part of a team," Mr Grant said.
"Sport is an important part of regional communities and important in building confidence, improving levels of physical activity and a great way to make friends. Sports also teaches our youth about respect for others and playing as part of a team which can have a positive influence leading into their adult lives, not to mention the obvious benefits of a healthy lifestyle."
