The Jets stayed competitive in the first half and led at the break 18-16 with second rower Mitchell Cale, Rob Lake and youngster Isaac Thompson crossing twice.

Five-eighth Steve Riley opened the scoring then Nathan Smith, Norm West raced over while the under 18 pair of Kotoni Staggs scored one of the most spectacular tries of the day with Kotoni Staggs shooting through the Jets defence and swerving to throw an inside ball to a flying Brian Baxter who went in for his debut first grade try. 

Staggs, Will Lousick and Brian Baxter working well with Wellington's big name players for a red-hot performance of dazzling open rugby league.

Bradley Carney got one back for Narromine but a treble to the evergreen Rian Humphiries followed by Eathan Ryan, Toomey White, Ben Bruce and Steve Riley completely demolished Narromine.

Joey Williams landed 11 goals from 12 attempts and Wellington's second half shocked even their fans, a 60-point blitz.

In a big day for the Cowboys, reserve grade was all the Cowboys 56-8 Richard Peckham scoring a trio of tries.

The Under 18's went to Wellington 36-8 with Kotoni Staggs scoring four times.

Jacinta Powell and Sedia Towney powered the women's league side to a 12-6 win.
