Starting at Marra Creek on August 4, Mrs Cameron will visit Far Western Group branches en-route to Narromine where the tour will conclude.
Mrs Cameron's itinerary includes Marra Creek, Brewarrina, Bourke, Cobar, Nyngan, Warren, Nevertire, Trangie and Narromine and will provide an opportunity for members in those areas to gain an awareness of the extent of the association's contribution to the development of rural communities, the state and the nation, since its inception in 1922.
The association's involvement in improving the lifestyle of families in rural NSW covers all aspects of country living from health and education to farm and road safety.
Mrs Cameron will join local branch members for afternoon tea at 2.30pm on Sunday, August 9 before heading to Narromine for dinner and a well-earned rest after what can only be described as a four-day, whirlwind tour covering hundreds of miles of the vast area that represents the Far Western Group of the Country Women's Association of NSW.
Local members are invited to come along and meet Mrs Cameron and perhaps gain a more detailed insight into what CWA is all about.
