Saturday August 29 a sunny afternoon with a cold breeze saw a reasonable field of 15 players contest a par event with Jean Walters Memorial Trophy kindly donated by the Walters family.

We were honoured with the presence of two of Jean's daughters Toni Martin and Jane McArdell playing in our competition. Also our captain Vicki Gainsford returned after six weeks touring the UK Continent and Russia.
After some arm twisting Vivienne Halbisch attended her first Saturday competition for this year winning A grade and Jean Walters Memorial Trophy - along with nearest the pin ninth.
Vivienne won the trophy on a count back from Michelle Ashdown -1 who won first opp ball and Valerie Edmunds won 2nd opp ball -4 on a count back from Joy Whiteman, Vicki Gainsford and Tony Martin all -4.
B grade ball went to Wendy Jeffery -4.
C grade ball went to Elaine Ashdown -3.
Due to a confusion of extra pins (having another comp going on that day) Jane McArdell and Vivienne Halbisch both won nearest pin 9th and Valerie Edmunds 17th.

Drawn card went to Maida O'Mally.
Wednesday September 2 an overcast morning saw 17 players contest sixth round Monthly Medal. Plus two played nine holes, (19 players).
A grade medal winner Tracy McIntyre 74 nett, B grade medal won by Dale Harding with a fabulous 68 nett. C grade medal Bev Woods 70 nett.
Wendy Jeffery won 1st opp ball 73 nett, 2nd opp ball Patricia Mitchell 74 nett, 3rd opp ball Sue Wallace 74 nett. Sue also won nearest pin 17th. Robin Jones showed no remorse taking nearest pin off Bev Woods 9th.
Maida O'Mally won drawn card plus the raffle which was kindly donated by Sue Wallace.
Tomorrow September 5 (show day) stableford event with club trophy.
Wednesday September 9 Veterans' Championships. Geriatrics kindly donated the trophies for overall handicap and runner-up plus super vet.
Plus Joan Collins Trophy for Best Nett Score 75+ years. Lady members please note there is no golf for us September 12 and 13 this being Members' Veterans' NSW Sand Green 4BBB Championships. However your help in the kitchen for breakfast and lunch would be very much appreciated.
Anne Harmer and Jeanette Redden's 4BBB Trophy planned for Saturday September 12 has been transferred to Wednesday October 7.
