The award recognises the TAB turnover for the meeting but also measures the club as a significant community event/s for the town and region. Narromine certainly delivers there, with an almost waterproof track and beautiful lawns and shade for the crowds.
Narromine's Kylie Kennedy took out the WRA Horse of the Year with Shadow Force - the seven-year-old gelding has won nine from 40 starts amassing over $140,000 prize money for his lucky connections. WRA Trainer of the Year went to Rodney Robb, Nyngan and a popular win to Jockey of the Year to Kody Nestor.
