The Department of Planning and Environment is keen to hear the community's views on the application which seeks to:
o expand the open cut mine pit known as 'Caloma'
o construct underground tunnels, slopes and working areas, including entrances
o create an additional open cut mine pit
o increase the area for waste rock
o refill the open cut mine pit known as 'Wyoming Three' with waste rock
o extend the storage facility for residue by increasing the height of the wall downstream from the stored material
o make associated changes to water infrastructure.
A spokesperson for the Department of Planning and Environment said the local community always had an opportunity to share its views.
"Community consultation is an integral part of the planning process and the applicant will have to respond to the feedback we receive and this is taken into consideration when we develop our recommendations," the spokesperson said.
"It's easy to participate by going online and we encourage everyone to take a look and have their say."
