On Thursday it announced two alterations to the proposal put forward for the Parkes electorate by the Redistribution Committee for NSW.
The commission has determined that all of the former Shire of Yallaroi and a small part of the former Shire of Bingara, both now within the Shire of Gwydir, should be part of the Parkes electorate.
It is understood that the redistribution committee's proposal to include part of the Carrathool Shire in the Parkes electorate was rejected.
The redistributed Parkes electorate will cover about 425,000 square kilometres of NSW and share boundaries with the electorates of New England, Calare, Riverina and Farrer.
Its communities will include Tibooburra, Broken Hill, Ivanhoe, Hillston, Condobolin, Dubbo, Gunnedah, Narrabri and Moree.
The community of Wellington has moved from its current place in Parkes, under MP Mark Coulton, and will shift into the Calare electorate.
The new boundaries and names of 47 electoral divisions in NSW will apply from February 25 when a notice of determination is published in the Commonwealth Government Notices Gazette.
Subsequent federal polls will be contested on the new electoral divisions.
