Stand-in captain Colonel Montgomery saw the players off on a great afternoon with a mix of juniors and seniors. Members welcomed local butcher Jack Powell and the return of the Dennis brothers Blake and Chris while Len "Roar" Hilder headed up the seniors.
Colonel Montgomery with 42 stableford points was the leader at the end of the day with promising junior, Morgan Gale, one point back the runner-up.
Another junior, Daniel Flannery, easily won the nearest the pin on the sixth hole and completed the birdie to take home the birdies nest.
There was to be no repeat of Gary Sands "Ace" of last week on this hole though.
All copies of last week's Narromine News and Trangie Advocate sold out early as Sands was noticed buying up all copies from Trangie retail outlets late last week.
President Ted Brennan was ecstatic in the clubhouse after the presentation that the juniors had done so well.
"It is so good for our club to have such keen juniors and we will be doing all we can to ensure they enjoy the game and we have set aside some funds in our budget to help," he said.
Sixteen players will represent the club in Manly at the annual Manly club visit on the February 14.
