It appears the event was popular as 28 players turned up to face the starter.
Following the rain on Wednesday the course was in great condition thanks to our hardy band of course curators who do a great job every week.
In the ladies division there were 15 players and competition was keen.
Winner on a net 31 was Tracy McIntyre so it looks as though Mal will have to accept the bragging rights again.
Runner-up was Jean Richardson with net 32 who won the count back from Dale Harding, Bev Woods, Vicky Gainsford and Therese Haley all on 32.
There was no winner of the ladies nearest to the pin.
Thirteen men played in the men's comp and again the competition was very competitive.
Winner was Norm Lewis with a net 28 and the handicapper has already announced a handicap reduction of three strokes for next week.
Once again there were three players tied for second on net 29, with the count back going to Mal Fraser from Chris Harding and Ian Morgan.
Mal McIntyre took out the nearest to the pin for the second week running.
In the clubhouse there was only one match in the pool competition and this match went down to the wire with Terry Willis and Mal Richardson defeating Chris Harding and Norm Lewis on the black.
This week it was rather quiet with no coaching from the audience.
Next Saturday the event will be an individual stableford with the ladies on the front nine and the men on the back at the usual hit-off time of 9am.
See you on the tee.
