CHAMPIONSHIPS
The final of the B grade pairs will be played this Saturday and will feature the defending champions Clifton Harris and Bill Wilkie up against Alex Sambrook and Trent Jacobson. This should be an interesting clash, hopefully the window tappers will be "aplenty", hope to see you there.

Still on the subject of championships the nominations for the club open singles have been open for a few weeks now and to date entries into what is probably the most prestigious event on our bowling calendar are pretty good. Hopefully with just another week or so to go we should see a record number of contestants in this event.
PENNANTS
The teams for this week's round of pennants remain unchanged and are as follows; grade two to play Dubbo Railway at home.
Aaron Clark, Sam Crook, John Edwards, Robert French, Mark Hilder, Steve Riley, Kevin Rider, Aaron Hutchison, Trent Jacobson, Henry Buttsworth, Adam Morrissey, Robbie Stanford, Manager: Paul Hilder.
The grade six squad to play Parkes Railway at Parkes is: Jimmy Daley, David McNair, Danny Carnevale, James Daley, Ben Clark, Bruce Maher, Steve Buttsworth, Don Sullivan, Phil Harding, David Price, Arnold Gillespie, Peter Payne, Manager: Harry Gammon.
With regards times and travel arrangements where needed, players are asked to check with their respective managers as I currently do not have that information to put into this column.
SOCIAL BOWLS
Thursday we had 16 players.
Results Des Lincoln and Steve Buttsworth 15 points and a margin of seven were the day's winners with Robert Bateman, John Heterick and David McNair a couple of points back on 13, getting the runners-up cheque.
Sunday we had 16 players.
Results Al Shannon, Trent Jacobson and "Puddy" Gillespie 14 points and a very healthy 23-shot margin were declared the day's winners, whilst Peter Kelly, Jimmy Daley and Danny Carnevale also on 14 points were the next best card submitted and received a small refreshment prize for their efforts.
Not much more to report.
The weather is just starting to cause a few of our players to revert to trousers and pullovers instead of shorts and t-shirts and, as fate would have it, "Micky Dix" has a special on beanies coming up.
So keep warm and keep them rolling down.
