Editor,
The Narromine RSL Sub-Branch would like to express their thanks to the people of Narromine for their attendance at the Anzac Day ceremonies.
It was heartening to see so many at all of the services and particularly so in the case of our school children given that they were in fact still on their school holidays.
We would like to thank the Narromine High School students who laid the wreaths at the War Graves cemetery.
As well we would like to especially thank the three Narromine High School students who gave the address at the main service.
We would like to thank the Narromine Shire Council and their workers and contractors who toiled so hard to get the Cenotaph and the area around it ready for Anzac Day.
Thank you also to all the people who helped to make things happen from the Volunteer Rescue Association, the ambos, council staff and others.
Finally we would like to thank the Narromine United Services Memorial Club for putting on the breakfast for those who attended the dawn service.
Ted Davies
Secretary
