Two teams from Trangie travelled to Gilgandra for the Western Districts play off with Ted Brennan and Colonel Montgomery completing the Trangie contingent.
Clear winners by three holes, the two Trangie youngsters played to their potential on the nine hole grass greens at Gilgandra.
Back in Trangie, visitors Jenny and David Hamilton, were the victors on a shortened course novelty event for the Angus MacDonald trophy at the Golf Club on Saturday.
A two stick mixed stableford event over 12 dry holes was played and the visitors proved too good for the locals.
Next weekend the men play for Ian Cameron’ monthly medal stroke event while the ladies also hit off for a medal round.
