With only 5 days to go, it’s time to search out any missing and overdue library books to take advantage of the amnesty. All overdue fees will be waived but only during July. The amnesty ends on Sunday 31 July, so be quick!

Winter Reading Program ends soon!
The Winter Reading Program is drawing to a close, but it’s not too late, to pick up an entry form from your local library, to be in the running to win an iPad Air. All completed reading logs must be handed in to any branch of the library by 5pm on 29 July 2016, to be eligible to win the major prize. All items entered on the reading log must be items borrowed from Macquarie Regional Library and can include books, audio books, magazines, eBooks, eAudio and eMagazines. Visit your local library, discover some great books to read and ensure your entry into the ultimate winter sport……READING!
Fun Zone at Trangie Library
Looking for something to do after school? Why not visit the Trangie library every Wednesday after school and join in the art and craft activities on offer. The weekly session runs from 3.15 to 4pm and are for children aged 5 to 12 years. Children are encouraged to drop in – no need to book – and join in the fun.
Book and Board GameZ Club for Teens at Narromine Library
The next meeting of the Narromine Book & Board GameZ Club will be held this afternoon at Narromine Library. For Generation Z children, aged 12 years to 18 years, the club will focus on board games, books, cards, with competitions and prizes on offer each month. The club is held on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 3pm to 5pm and is all about having fun. No need to book, just come along, bring a friend or two, and sample old favourites, or discover some new games. A snack and drink provided.
Britannica Public Library
This is a great resource to search or browse for information in encyclopaedias, magazines videos and websites. You can choose to search the full Britannica or the student and junior versions. A great data base for children researching school projects, it is easy to use and easy to find trusted information. Britannica can be accessed in your local library or from home. Check it out on the Macquarie Regional Library website, located under E-Library then E-Resources. Or next time you visit the library ask our friendly staff for help, they will be more than happy to give a demonstration on using this database.

The Narromine Branch is open Monday to Friday from 10.30am to 5.30pm and on Saturday from 10am to 12noon.
The Trangie Branch is open Monday from 1pm to 5.30pm; Wednesday to Friday from 10.30am to 5.30pm and on Saturday from 10am to 12noon.
