25 of the 268 hospitals across Australia supported by the Humpty Dumpty Foundation will receive medical equipment purchased at the Good Egg Lunch.  The Connex Vital Signs Monitor and Rad 5 Pulse Oximeter were two of 39 pieces of medical equipment purchased on the day by the charity’s generous supporters.

The Connex Vital Signs Monitor allows monitoring of vital signs like temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation levels in the paediatric setting.  It will enable more accurate assessment of vital signs to improve clinical outcomes.  The reusable finger sensor also allows for freedom of movement and provides the ability to care for children in multiple situations and settings.

Accurate measurement of a pulse rate, oxygen saturation and perfusion index is essential in assessing the severity and treatment implications for paediatric patients.  The Rad 5 Pulse Oximeter allow nurses to record oxygen levels accurately and efficiently and quickly track changes in arterial oxygen levels.

The annual event hosted by Humpty Dumpty Foundation’s Patron, Ray Martin AM was attended by 400 guests including Olympian Jane Flemming OAM, Humpty Dumpty Foundation Ambassador/Board Member, Wallaby great Phil Kearns, Humpty Dumpty Foundation Ambassador and Founder of the Humpty Balmoral Burn as well as Australia’s most read female columnist for the Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph Miranda Devine, NINE News’ Amber Sherlock and Erin Molan and Seven Network’s Karen Ledbury.
