The Tigers are officially the 2016 Central West Rugby Union GrainCorp Northern Division Premiers.
They beat the Molong Magpies 24 to 7 at Alan Burns Oval.
The game, played in front a large group of spectators from both clubs, was a classic grand final with both teams determined to win.
The Tigers were the first to score late in the first half when out side centre Brenton Montgomery took an intercept pass out paced the defence in a 60 metre run to the try line.
The try was converted by his centre partner Damien Taylor to have the Tigers ahead seven to zero at half time.
In the second half the Tigers slowly gained dominance, winning several tight head scrums and executing aggressive defence.
The Tigers second try was scored by fullback Damian Tegart.
The Molong side never stopped trying and were awarded with a try out wide which they converted.
The Tigers put the result beyond doubt when prop George Quigley was too powerful to stop 10 metres out to score the last try of the game.
A presentation was made at the conclusion of the game.
Tigers president Tim Wray was delighted by the massive victory for the club.
“It has been a wonderful season for the Tigers and to win the Club’s fourth premiership, the previous one being 27 years ago, is tremendous effort by the team and the Club as a whole,” he said.
“I thank the committee, sponsors, supporters, coaches and players for making it happen.”
Everyone is invited to celebrate the Tigers’ victory at their presentation on September, 17, from 7pm at the Trangie Showground.
