Newsagent Graham Jackson was delighted the ticket was bought in his Pangee Street shop last week.
He said he never dreamed the winning ticket would have been bought in Nyngan.
His friend from Condobolin called him and told him to check his terminal, as the winning ticket had be bought locally.
“We’ve never had a first division winner before. The odds are high,” he smiled.
Mr Jackson said the Newsagency has a winning year all round.
“We had a winning move nine months ago, the new premises is a winner, now we have a winning ticket, there’s plenty more to come,” he said.
“It’s brilliant.”
Although the ticket is registered, all Mr Jackson knows is that the person is from the Bogan Shire, they are a female.
“That’s one of the great things about being registered, it’s completely anonymous,” he said.
“It’s great for small town newsagency. I’m glad the person is a local, it’ll benefit the whole community.
“Congratulations to the winner,” he said.
