Narromine is about to put on its 111th Agricultural Show. This is an event that the current committee and hopefully committee’s of the future will be able to keep alive.
We encourage you - the community to support this event so that another generation can experience the tradition of “going to the show”. There are many ways you can be involved:
• Volunteering to be on the Committee or helping out on the Show weekend in the many sections
• Sponsoring our annual Event - this allows us to offer prize money and entertainment free of charge
• Entering in the various sections at the Show (Art, Cakes, Flower arrangements, Metal Work, Mosaic’s, Jams, Vegetables, Eggs, Wool … check out the Pavilion sections
• Coming to the Show – this is how we measure the success of the show by our gate entries
No excuses for anyone!!!!
This past 12 months we have seen success at the Sydney Royal Show with Meta Nolland taking out First Prize in the Fruit Cake Section and Kevin adnd Robyn Galley taking second prize in the Country Shows Merino Fleece Section. The Browning Family also came 1st in the NSW State Wheat Competition run by the Agricultural Societies Council of NSW. Congratulations to these entrants.
The committee this year has decided to continue with the renovating of the Russell Schroder Poultry Pavilion and will replace the dirt/saw dust with a cement floor, this will benefit both the Poultry section stewards and entrants.
Again thank you to everyone involved, we are very grateful especially Narromine Council who are continuing with financial help as well doing further work improvements to the Pavilion and Bar/Kitchen area. The amenities and grounds always look fantastic come Show day.
