The Auxiliary has planned a Family Fun Day to be billed as “THE GRANDEST DAY” and to be held on Sunday October 16 in the Hospital Grounds.
There will be lots of fun activities in which children and grandparents can participate, much of which the grandparents will remember fondly from their own childhood. As well as competitions and activities, there will be several stalls, manned by organisations which have a large number of grandparents as members.
The grant money will be used for promotional and organisational purposes and to purchase lots of lovely prizes for many fun competitions and activities planned. There will be such things as old-fashioned hooplas, fishing games, paper aeroplane competitions, pony rides, together with three legged races for teams of a child and a grandparent, egg and spoon relay teams of children and grandparents. For the older grandparents there will be a knitting competition and other various suitable activities.
Because the event will be held in the Narromine Hospital grounds, it will be easily accessible possible for residents of Timbrebongie House and their family and friends for their enjoyment.
