A magical evening took place on Thursday in Trangie as the Macquarie Picnic Races (MPR) committee donated $25000 back into the community.

Community groups gathered for what MPR treasurer Kate Kennedy said is one of the committee’s favourite evenings of the year.
“It’s great to give money back into the community and supporting community groups. A lot of people help out at the races so we believe we’re supporting you and you can support us,” she said.
Groups who received the donations are the CWA Trangie Branch, Trangie Soccer Club, Trangie Golf Club, Trangie Netball Community, Trangie Amateur Swimming Club, Trangie Tennis Club, Trangie Cricket Club, St John’s School P&F, Trangie Central School P&F, Challenge, Trangie RSL, Hear our Hearts, Trangie Nursing Staff and Trangie Day Care.
