Practitioner Jenny Zeng said protesters wanted to stop the practice of jailing, torturing and harvesting the organs of Falun Gong practitioners ordered by the communist government.
“We want Australian Parliament House to raise the motion to urge the Chinese communist government to stop the persecution of the Falun Gong and the organ harvesting of the Falun Gong,” Ms Zeng told Fairfax Media.
“We’d like the local people to know if you go to China to do organ transplant it means maybe one innocent people died in China.
“When we talk to people, we get a lot of support especially from the Australian people. So many kind-hearted people support us.”
Several persecuted people were in attendance. Falun Gong is a spiritual exercise and meditation regime.
