Bryce James Doyle, 22, died after his car hit a tree on Tuesday, November 8, before 10am.
Family and friends gathered at the crash site on Friday to create a shrine and send balloons skyward in Mr Doyle’s memory.
Mother, Kellie Esposito said loved ones crated a wind chime out of car parts in his honour and people laid flowers and wrote Bryce messages.
Mr Doyle’s funeral is delayed as there is a critical investigation into the incident.
Police have reported the Traffic and Highway Patrol were patrolling the Mitchell Highway when they observed a vehicle and turned around to follow it. A short time later, police located the vehicle crashed off the roadway. It had hit a tree. Police are asking witnesses to come forward.
Ms Esposito said a gofundme page has been set up to contribute to Bryce’s funeral. Visit https://www.gofundme.com/2y22gmk to make a contribution.
