Well with the bowls season all but over, it was a quiet week of bowling activity up at the club with just social bowls Thursday and Sunday for those of a desire to have a hit out.

So here’s what happened, some 16 went round on Thursday with the days overall winners being the trio of Des Lincoln, Bob Davis and Danny Carnevale.
Codey Anning and John Hetrick had to settle for the runners up cheque.
Sunday morning saw some 14 players take to the field for the mornings chook run.
Jeff Schloeffel and Bill Wilkie reigned supreme, claiming the top Roosters spot on the podium.
They must have played well as the runners up were the well credentialed trio of Clifton Harris, Bob Davis and Aaron Clark.
Best Of luck to Codey Anning and Ben Clark, who journey to Singleton this coming weekend for the next phase of the Aloha Bowls Tournament.
The boys need to probably win three games to earn a trip overseas to Hawaii and we wish them well.
The good news is Billy Prosser will be on hand to “mentor” them through the weekend, that should do it.
The planned Saturday afternoon social bowls hit a hiccup last weekend with only a couple of players nominating.
This event is on again this Saturday, with names in before 1.30pm for a 2pm start.
The dress code is mufti and we have some great prizes to be won.
Inside the Club house leading up to Christmas the raffles will be bigger than normal kicking off with 25 hams on Thursday December 8.
The following week, Thursday 15, a bonus raffle in conjunction with our normal raffle will see an additional $2000 worth of prizes to be won.
Just to round out the Thursday Nights, Christmas week will feature a Seafood raffle on the Thursday December 22.
So just another three good reasons to come along to the Bowly on a Thursday night during December.
The Ladies has finished bowling for 2016, but still have a few social outings lined up including their annual Christmas Luncheon on Tuesday December 6.
