Mr Crossland was diagnosed with cancer before his first birthday and his chances of reaching teenage years were slim, however, he exceeded all expectations.
Mr Crossland is just one great reason to join in the national celebration on January 26, with the Trangie Action group promising an exciting day.
“We have much to celebrate; out people, our diversity, a great sense of a fair-go for everyone,” TAG’s Geoffrey Terry said.
The celebrations at the Trangie Bowling Club will start with the big breakfast from 8am, followed by the official ceremony where the Australia Day Awards will be given and the cake will be cut. It is then Mr Crossland will address the crowd.
