The event is being hosted by the Narromine Gorillas Rugby Union Club and will test fitness and sporting efforts for young and old.
Gorillas president Craig Campbell is hoping people will come from around the region to be a part of the fun activity.
“We are looking at having four different events at four different locations around town. Each event would be held in timed heats of five to 10 people aim each heat and would test different types of fitness, strength and endurance in a fun and novel way,” he said.
“Everyone is invited to participate,” Mr Campbell said.
The first event, titled the “Ag ‘n’ Vet Rundown” will be held at Noel Powell Oval. Gamers will be subject to levee bank shuttle runs, rope pulls and a load run to be completed in eight to 10 minutes.
The second event is called “the Treseders Home Hardware Tyre Me Out.” The course includes tyre flipping, tyre stepping, some sledge hammar work and a brisk run before heading back to the tyres.

The third event is called “Davey Jones’ Locker” and will consist of pool laps, shallow water wading and upper body strength testing. The course is designed to test the hardiest of mermaids and mermen.
The final event, will take place at the Gorilla’s home ground, Cale Oval. It’s called “The Pioneer Seeds Gauntlet.” Gamers will be Wheel barrow racing weighed down by Pioneer Seed bags and navigating obstacles from the Macquarie Titan Mud Run, a sprint and an ending that will be kept secret but will live up to this last event's name.
Entrants will be divided up into groups; open men (18 to 40 years), open women (18 years and older), junior women (16 to 18 years old) and silverbacks (40 years and older.)
A fee of $40 gains entry to the event but also entrants get to take home a “goodie bag” with a t-shirt and other great health and fitness goods. The fee also includes a barbecue after the games have finished.
“The aim of the ‘Warhorse Preseason Games’ would be a fun day of challenges and fitness for participants and to give back to the community, the profits made from the day would go back into a project that could be agreed on between the club and the Narromine Council we are keen on investing in the rejuvenation of the fitness centre,” Mr Campbell said.
The Narromine Council have thrown their support behind the event.
"This may start small but it will grow, it could be a tremendous boos to tourism in the town,” Councillor Les Lambert said.
