Fifty participants from as far as Nyngan attended the activities along with 22 school children from the Central School who helped keep score and helped with activities, organiser Terrie Milgate from the Trangie Local Aboriginal Lands Council (LALC) said.
“There were 12 carers and 25 family members as well as hospital staff, school teachers and LALC staff,” she said.
“The day was funded by the Family and Community Services NSW Seniors Festival Grant and donations from Aboriginal Affairs and the Trangie LALC."
The day, starting from 9.30am, was filled with basketball throwing, darts, bowls, quoits, tossing the beanbag and peeling the egg competitions.
