Lachy Bible, Alex Heap, Harry Krueger, Jacob Taylor and Sam Knaggs have been selected to represent NSW Country in the auspicious tour, beating out other players from metropolitan areas such as Wolllongong and Newcastle.
The boys have a months worth of serious footy starting with a trip around the North Island of NZ from July 1 to 8, Sydney Invitationals on July 14 to 16, Canberra games on July 28 to 30 and Country versus City on August 5 to 6 at Bathurst.
A generous trivia night last weekend has helped fund the boys trip over the ditch.
“Last Saturday’s Trivia Night at the Narromine Golf Club was attended by 150 people including family, friends, senior and junior Gorillas and other community members, resulting in assistance with travel expenses for the boys,” Gorilla’s Andy Thorburn said.
“Our little town is proud of you, now go get ‘em.”
