The 2017 Showgirl will be announced at the Regional Australia Bank Narromine Show Ball next Saturday, July 1.
Showgirl steward Sara McGilchrist said there are a number of girls who are participating in the event.
“The Showgirl competition strives to find a young rural lady who has a genuine interest in her community and the agricultural show movement," she said.
“Contestants are judged by a panel of three judges who consider personality, confidence, local and rural knowledge as well as ambition and involvement in rural affairs.
“The successful Showgirl will then go on to represent Narromine at zone level with a chance to progress to the Sydney Royal Easter Show.”
Limited tickets are now on sale at the Narromine USMC.
Tickets are $45 and tables are for eight to 10 people.
