The Solar Farm being developed by Neoen and constructed by Bouygues Construction Australia is well on its way to completion with the piles now in place that hold the solar panels and trenching continuing for the cables which will eventually provide the connection point to the State’s electricity grid.
“Great to see new business opportunities being taken up within the Shire with the contribution to local employment during the construction phase very welcome,” Narromine Shire general manager Jane Redden said.
It is expected that up to 11Mw of power will be generated on this 25Ha site once completed and is one of four sites that are being developed in regional NSW by Neoen at this time.
Construction costs are expected to be $17,000,000 for the Narromine site.
