Senator Nash, who is also the deputy leader of the Nationals, was in town at the invitation of Narromine Shire mayor Craig Davies.
She said the government’s $8.4 billion investment in Inland Rail had been very well-received.
“It really does give people confidence and … that’s one of the most important things for rural communities,” Senator Nash said.
“They’ve got to have confidence in their future and then people will invest, they settle their families, they dig in and grow roots and that's what we need for strong communities.”
