Castlereagh League

Round 17 of the 2017 Christie and Hood Castlereagh League competition saw the scoreboard attendants around the Group given a heavy work as big scores were the order of the day. Both the Trangie Magpies and the Coonabarabran Unicorns rugby league teams were having their final outing for the year with both teams having a bye next week. They both had road trips to wind up their 2017 commitments and they were on the wrong end of a lop sided score sheet with the Maggies going down 72 to 12 to Coonamble at Coonamble and the Unicorns well beaten by Gulgong at The Gong, going down 78 to six. The biggest score was recorded at Gilgandra with the Panthers downing a gallant, but outgunned Coolah Kangaroos outfit 82 to nil (Official recorded score will be 75 to nil).
