The Inland Rail was in the limelight on Thursday when community members were invited to Soul Food Depot to talk about the project.

About 25 people attended the Thursday morning session to speak to experts from the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) about a variety of interests and concerns surrounding the meeting.

A spokesperson from the ARTC said the company was delighted to meet with members of the Narromine community.

“ARTC were delighted to have an opportunity to meet and discuss Inland Rail during the drop-in information sessions at Narromine this week,” a spokesperson from the ARTC said.

“People who attended the session had a range of interests including land access and acquisition, level crossings, understanding business opportunities and general updates about the Inland Rail.”

For those who missed Thursday’s session, there is an evening session at Soul Food Depot on Wednesday this week.

The session will run from 3pm to 7pm.

ARTC Programme Delivery Director Simon Thomas said ARTC’s project team members will be on hand to answer questions about the Environmental Impact Statement.

“The information sessions are open to everyone and I encourage people to come and learn more about this exciting project,” he said.

If you’re unable to attend the sessions, contact ARTC project team on 1800 732 761 or inlandrailnsw@artc.com.au
