The Green Organic Bins have been the subject of much debate over the weeks. Dubbo has decided to go ahead with the third bin for its regional council, leaving Narromine to decide whether the wheelie bin should make its way west.
The Narromine News and Trangie Advocate has been asking readers whether they want an organic bin. The online poll had 58 respondents as of Tuesday afternoon*. 33 people (56.9 per cent) answered no to the survey, 22 people (37.96 per cent) answered yes and the remaining three people answered they didn’t care.
On Facebook at the beginning of the month, none of the commentators were interested in the third bin. Six people responded to the Facebook post on The Narromine News page and five of them said no to the proposal.
“Don’t need it and don’t want it,” Facebooker Debbie Smith said.
