Mayor Craig Davies said the council have committed to making the bin a cost neutral situation in the coming years.
“[Shire general manager] Jane Redden has committed to making this a cost neutral situation in as few as two to three years,” he said.
“In other words, whilst there will be a charge for this service, we expect to save at least an equivalent amount that will lead to a reduction in other areas of a similar amount.”
Cr Davies said there are great benefits.
“The benefits to the community and the environment would be profound,” he said.
