The Hear our Heart Bus visited Narromine for the first time last month working with local community groups and services along with the council to make the testing possible.
The Hear Our Heart (HOH) Ear Bus Project is a product of local charity from Dubbo District Deaf Club and is funded on donations and volunteers.
“We worked with Mayor Craig to get it happening,” HoH’s Rachel Mills said.
Local child and family health nurse Caroline Maxwell, offered to host the testing day.
“She has since offered to host future clinics and assist on the day,” Ms Mills said.
“The plan is now to form an official Narromine HoH committee to get things moving. HoH are keen to meet the needs of local Communities and work in with existing professionals.”
