Morning tea stop was “Chinook” formally a private hospital and finally a B&B. Gilgandra Garden Club ladies made us most welcome. From there we travelled through Tooraweenah to the Emu Farm. The owners explained the processing of the birds and also that Australian Emu Oil is the best in the world.
The country everywhere is very drought effected like most of NSW, no crops to be harvested even with good rain. Lunch stop was the Gilgandra Native Reserve.
The September Meeting was held with 25 members present.
Items covered included transportation of plants to Dunedoo for distribution to bush fire victims. Thank you to members and non-members who helped with the project.
The Christmas Party will be held at the Golf Club on November 24, cost is $26.
