There was a good roll up of community members who listened to an excellent presentation by Gaye Walker, an oncology counsellor from Dubbo.
Ms Walker helped people in the audience with many different strategies to aid them on the cancer journey and ended with everyone participating in a relaxation session which is a very valuable tool in any stressful situation.
The next meeting will be held at Community Health on Wednesday November 15 at 10 am.
The guest speaker for this session will be Tracey from IPTAS.
This will be a valuable talk for anyone in the community who has been unwell and had to travel away for treatment.
IPTAS is a government organization that helps people with travel subsidies.
The forms needed to access the subsidies can be tricky to complete so come along and find out how this is done and have your questions answered.
