But now internet legend Gary the Goat has gone to the big paddock in the sky. 

Gary, a South African Saanen milk goat and one half of a comedy duo with Jim Bazoobis, was euthanised last night after doctors discovered a bleed from an acute heart tumour. 

Bazoobis, aka James Dezarnaulds, wrote a moving tribute on Gary’s page.

In 2013 Mr Dezarnaulds was fined $440 after Gary chomped on some flowers outside Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art. 

But Gary beat the charges on appeal, with the magistrate ruling Mr Dezarnaulds didn’t take him to the park with the specific aim of vandalism. 

“We'll all miss you Gary,” Mr Dezarnaulds wrote. 

“You gave so much happiness to so many people. Rest In Peace, mate. xo”
