The warning was issued for parts of the Central West Slopes and Plains and Upper Western districts, with large hail stones and damaging winds forecast, but the storm had been expected to miss Narromine, Trangie and Warren as well as the centre of Dubbo.
But hail stones – some the size of golf balls – have pelted Narromine this afternoon, just a day after parts of the region got a soaking with about 25 millimetres falling in some parts.
