Planning is well under way for the annual string of McGrath Foundation fundraisers, with the annual Pink Golf Day (three person ambrose) scheduled for Sunday, December 3 at the Narromine Golf Club.
Organisers met at the club on Monday, and have decided to space the pink events out this year.
Instead of one action-packed weekend of golf, bowls and the famous Pink Pigeon Race, events will take place throughout December and early January.
The Pink Sheep auction is set for the Dubbo Saleyards on December 11. Then on the evening of Saturday, December 16 the Trangie Bowling Club will turn pink.
Pigeon calcuttas will be held at both the golf and bowls days ahead of the race on January 6.
“We do it for breast cancer,” organiser Shane Dalton. “If we can get some more [breast cancer] nurses in the Central West then it’s a good thing.”
