The day focused on bringing service providers from in and around our area, together in one place, with a focus on our students and families health and wellbeing.
Services in attendance included Western Region NSW Health, Mission Australia, Centacare, NSW Fair Trading, Marathon Health, Breakthru, Western College, Coles, Narromine Shire Council, NLALC, Headspace and many others.
Principal Denise King said these services provided valuable support to the school’s students, parents, carers and wider community in all aspects of their day-to-day life.
“Access to services can be a barrier for students and families and by bringing them all together in the one place they are able to gain information, seek advice and referrals,” she said.
Mrs King said the success of the day reflected the partnerships the school has been able to form with the community.
“We believe in a holistic approach to our students learning and know that if they and their families health and wellbeing are addressed, we know that the child will succeed in learning and life.”
