Tyler Zeke Williams was a passenger in the truck when he fell from the fast-moving vehicle.
He is currently in a critical condition in Randwick Children’s Hospital, Intensive Care Unit.
Family and friends are trying to rally support, as Tyler’s family remain vigilant at his bedside, hoping for a speedy recovery.
Spokesperson for the Tyler Zeke Williams fundraiser, Tracey Thurbon said Tyler could be in Sydney for another eight weeks.
She said Tyler was in a critical condition and is non-responsive at the moment.”
Ms Thurbon said Tyler spent time in a Sydney hospital last year and this recent accident was another blow for the teenager.
“This is a real kick in the guts for Tyler and his family,” she said.
Although no events are organised as of yet, Tyler’s support network has established a Facebook page titled Tyler Zeke Williams Fundraiser, where people can make donations to the cause.
Family and friends of Tyler would be grateful for any donations.
