GERRIES GOLF
WINS FOR FERRARI AND SMITH
In very pleasant weather conditions last Saturday some 26 geriatric golfers turned up for their weekly stableford competition played on the "Royal Narromine'' course.
Ten ladies participated in their event which was won by Peta Ferrari with 20 points while Gail White took second place with 19 points. Great golf from the ladies in the windy conditions. There was no winner in the NTP comp which jackpots again to next week and there were insufficient players for the NAGA award this week. In the men's division there were 16 players and once again competition was keen and the wind proved difficult for good scoring. Gus Smith returned to form to take victory on the day with 24 stableford points from the consistent Bob Culhane on 23 points. Culhane also won the men's NTP for which he collected one golf ball. It was good to see Alan and Greg Kearines and back on the golf course and well done Greg for taking out the NAGA award for the week. All present voted it a very pleasant day on the golf course.
After the golf presentation the weekly Pool Competition was played. The first match was played between Gus Smith and Chris Harding against Charlie Burrowes and Bob Fletcher with Smith and Harding advancing to the final. In the final they met that awesome pair of Terry Willis and Mal Richardson and in an absorbing match Smith and Harding emerged victorious to become the weekly champs thus giving a great double victory to Gus Smith winning both the golf and the pool. Next Saturday the usual competition will be played with the usual hit off time at 9am, the girls playing the back nine and the fellas on the front. See you all on the tee.

SHOOTING
Eleven rifle shooters, including one visiting shooter, competed over a difficult 700 yards at the Narromine-Dubbo rifle range on Saturday 25th February. The breeze, mainly from the south, switched direction suddenly throughout the afternoon and most shooters were caught out by the changes.

In the second stage, Brown held on to score a 47/50 to finish with an off-rifle score of 96/100 to win the A-grade Cock O’the Walk badge.
