Mr Hall is a former World Number One tennis player, and ITF World Wheelchair Tennis Champion of 1995, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2004.
The former professional athlete has had a successful sporting career which included 19 Super Series singles titles. The Super Series are equivalent to the able-bodied Grand Slams, and Hall’s title tally is the most recorded by any player on the international tour.

Narromine Shire Mayor, Cr Craig Davies said it was an honour to have Mr Hall as this year’s ambassador and encouraged the community to attend the celebrations.
“David has an inspiring story and we are very much looking forward to having him speak at our Australia Day celebrations,” Cr Davies said.
“There will be various gatherings across our Shire with breakfast in Trangie at Trangie Bowling Club and breakfast in Narromine at Dundas Park,” he said.
The community is encouraged to come down to the celebrations and meet Mr Hall.
The Narromine Australia Day celebrations and awards presentation will be held at Dundas Park on Friday, January 26, with a free community breakfast from 8am.
