Two oxygen concentrators were donated late last year by the 25 Club, and will be able to be borrowed from the CHC by people requiring oxygen therapy.
25 Club president Gai Wilson said the club supported projects that would benefit “the whole community”.
“We were finding that people were requiring the equipment until they could purchase their own and we didn’t have any,” she said.
“We decided as a club to donate two if we could get them at the right price and we were very, very fortunate and we got two for use by the community when they require it.”
The club chooses a project to raise funds for each year, with the oxygen concetrators their project for the 2016-17 financial year.
A spokesperson said: “Narromine Community Health is committed to providing quality client focused health care to the Narromine community and is thankful to the Narromine 25 Club whose generous donations will enhance the service’s high standard of care.
“The donation of oxygen concentrators will improve the quality of life for Narromine community members … as the portable equipment will allow people to remain within the comfort of their own home while receiving oxygen therapy.”
Mrs Wilson urged anyone who was interested in joining the 25 Club to get in touch.
“Would you like to belong to a club that works solely to make life easier in the Narromine community?,” she said.
“We have raised over half a million dollars since the 25 Club started.”
